— The Dartmouth School Committee voted 3-1 on Monday to keep the Dartmouth Indian logo.

The Dartmouth Indian was designed by a member of the Wampanoag tribe in the 1970s, but it has been the subject of debate in recent years. Some say the symbol is a source of pride, while others believe it to be offensive.Harley Davidson Svg, Harley Davidson Logo Svg, Logo Svg, Skull Harley Davidson Svg, Skull Clipart Svg Png Dxf Eps

Residents who spoke to NBC 10 News on Monday night supported keeping the logo.

“This is not anything other than a very proud community that’s very happy with the area that was, you know, all Aquinnah Wampanoag, and so we want to keep that and not exclude it and that’s what’s been happening too much,” said George Marcotte of Defend Dartmouth.Harley Davidson Svg, Harley Davidson Logo Svg, Logo Svg, Skull Harley Davidson Svg, Harley Davidson Cut Files

“As an immigrant, I really want to say do not destroy history without a good reason, because history is what connects us to what’s happened in the past,” said Shelley Zhang, a Dartmouth resident and employee of UMass Dartmouth.
